National Executive AGM 2022

2022 AGM image

The national executive of the BSTAI met virtually on Saturday, with many of our branches represented. Thank you to all delegates who attended, giving up their time at the weekend for a very busy and production meeting.

We would like to thank our outgoing President, Margaret McDonnell (Dublin Branch) for her trojan work leading the organisation since 2018, particularly during the very challenging times of the past two years. In her time as President, the association has grown from strength to strength, with a new and hugely improved website, several branches reactivated, (including South East, North East, Sligo, Donegal and the Gaeilge branch), and the provision of online meetings/CPD events to respond to the needs of members, when face to face meetings were not possible.

We would also like to thank our outgoing Treasurer, Mary Campbell (Midlands Branch) and Social Media Officer, Lisa Young (Galway Branch) for their hard work and dedication in their respective roles.

Congratulations to Ciara O’Riordan (Dublin Branch) on her appointment as Honorary National President. Ciara is a teacher of Accounting, Business and Enterprise in St. Joseph of Cluny Secondary School, Killiney and formerly held the position of PRO for the association.

Congratulations also to our new Treasurer and Social Media Officer, Deborah Hennessy (Cork Branch) and Chloe Keane (Limerick Branch) respectively, and to Lisa Young, Trisha Cooney and Siobhan O’Sullivan who were reappointed as Secretary, Conference Treasurer and ICT coordinator respectively.
