Update! Cork Branch: Revision Seminars

The Cork branch has organised a Revision Seminars for students of LC Business, Accounting, Economics and JC Business.

The Seminars, given by experienced SEC Advising Examiners and Correctors for the Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle, will take place on Friday, 23rd January 2026 in Kane Buildings G01 and G19 in University College Cork. Please see flyer below.

Topics that will be covered are as follows:

Business – ABQ (Units 3,4 & 5),  Unit 1, 4 & 5 plus technique in answering long questions.

Accounting – Club Accounts, Ratios analysis, Incomplete Records, tips for section 3 and theory notes.

Economics – Elasticity (PED and YED), The Firm (Cost, Revenue, Profit), Market Structure (Perfect Competition), Topical Issues.

Junior Cycle Business – Final Accounts, Analysed Cash Book, Ledgers & Trial Balance, The Consumer, Work & Employment, Economics Theory & Terms plus general exam advice and tips.

It is important that students bring exam papers with them for the respective subjects. Students can arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to register and collect the notes.

Kane Building G19 

• 5:50 – 7.20pm  Leaving Certificate Business
• 7:30 – 9.00pm Leaving Certificate Accounting 

Kane Building G01

• 6:00 – 7.20pm  Junior Cycle Business Studies
• 7:30 – 9.00pm Leaving Certificate Economics

The costs involved are:

• €30 for one Junior Cycle or one Leaving Certificate subject

OR 

• €50 for two Leaving Certificate subjects

Students can pay in cash or by Revolut on the day. Please note that under 18 revolut users won’t be able to transfer money using their own junior account on the day, so please ask them to transfer the fee in advance if they are paying by revolut or they can pay in cash on the day.
